Rasi Sandhi refers to the transition zone or junction point between two adjacent zodiac signs (Rasis). The word Sandhi originates from Sanskrit, meaning a meeting place, joint, or connection.
Because each of the 12 zodiac signs spans exactly 30 degrees (totaling a 360-degree zodiac), a planet or lagna (ascendant) is considered to be in Rasi Sandhi when it is positioned at the very beginning or the very end of a sign.

Late Degrees: Between 29° 00’ and 30° 00’ of a sign (leaving the current Rasi).
